The Varsity
Cheerleaders sponsored a "Spirit Chain" fundraiser at La Grange High
School. Each class (freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors)
raised as
much money as possible by buying spirit links. These were purple and
gold strips that a designated teacher for each class would sell - 2
for 50 cents.
Representatives from each class and cheerleaders would hang the
chains made from purple and gold links down the main hallway of our
school. The winning chain from the juniors almost reached the length
of the entire main hallway which covers three wings, the gym, and
cafeteria. The winner was announced at the football pep rally. The
total amount raised by La Grange High School students was $1755.61. |

Red Cross DAT
member Carroll Rodgers responded to a fire in Fayette County in
February 2009. As you can see, the residence was completely
destroyed. Hats off to Carroll for getting to the scene quickly,
and for helping the
family meet their immediate needs through Red Cross assistance.
Remember, all funds donated to Rio Colorado ARC will stay in the
county where they were donated, to help families like this one
recover from a tragedy. |
