The Rio Colorado ARC family gets a little bigger.....
Fayette counties. These counties had previously been served by the Houston chapter, but it was decided that since they were just up the Colorado River from Matagorda county, each would be more efficiently served by the ARC chapter located in Matagorda county. A map at the bottom of this page shows the area now covered by our chapter. We're excited about the chance to work with our neighbors to the north, and look forward to making a host of new friends and building strong alliances as we work together helping our neighbors in need. |

What is the Disaster Action Team (DAT)?
hours of notification in order to provide for the emergency needs of victims and emergency workers. A DAT volunteer's primary responsibility is to be the first Red Cross team on the scene at community disasters such as house/apartment fires, flash flooding, tornadoes, or technological incidents.
request training. It's an easy process, and a very rewarding job. Our goal is to have several DAT members for each of the four counties served by Rio Coloardo ARC. Your participation WILL make a difference in getting help quickly to members of your community when disaster strikes. Why not get involved now? |
