The American Red Cross is a non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of neighbors like yourself. The Rio Colorado Chapter is a United Way agency and receives partial funding through the Matagorda County United Way, but the remaining funds must be raised by the chapter to continue vital services and programs to the community.
All American Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary gifts of time and money from the American people. To help victims of disaster, a financial contribution is the most beneficial way to help. Contributions may be designated to the general Disaster Relief Fund or for use in a specific disaster-affected area.
More than 95 cents per dollar spent by the Rio Colorado Red Cross Chapter goes directly to helping people. The real value of every donated dollar becomes magnified by the fact that for every paid Red Cross staff person, there are approximately 50 volunteers at work in communities nationwide.
